Laura Lee (she/her)
Psychologist & Sexologist

Making the choice to come and see a psychologist can be a big decision, particularly the first time. It can bring up a range of emotions; fear, anxiety, relief, worry. It can seem daunting, overwhelming, and way out of your comfort zone.

As a psychologist, I think about this every time I work with someone new. I am constantly aware of the trust placed in me by my clients, and I value this deeply.

Holding a space for someone to reveal deeply personal parts of themselves, in order for them to move in the direction of their goals, is an absolute privilege of the work I do. The strength of the therapeutic relationship is critical to the effectiveness of the therapy itself, so I work hard to tailor an approach that best meets the needs of my client whilst maintaining honesty and authenticity.

One of the most uplifting parts of this work is when clients become aware of the many strengths and skillsets they possess. I love helping people discover and leverage these to help them grow and thrive, and I facilitate the use of these strengths to achieve my client’s goals, helping them move towards a richer, more fulfilling life.

When I’m not at work you can usually find me at the beach, hanging out with my dog, roller skating, painting or lifting something heavy at the gym.

I look forward to welcoming you to Blue Space Psychology soon.
